Don't Lose The Music is brought to you by RNID

DJs get the message at BPM

Around 2,500 DJs from around the UK attended the first BPM national DJ conference in Donnington Park on 10/11 Nov 07.

The yearly BPM event is for DJs and producers of all levels, and it's a place to meet your favourite label, attend A&R sessions, see performances from some of the scene’s hottest talent and try out or buy discounted kit from the industry’s leading manufacturers.

Don’t Lose the Music was on hand to provide everyone at BPM with information and advice. We sold heaps of re-usable earplugs and campaign ‘I practise safe decks' t-shirts. We handed out 2,000 foam earplug info packs, once again showing how common it is becoming for DJs to protect their hearing.

We also presented a seminar on hearing protection, tinnitus and the Control of Noise at Work regulations that will apply to the music and entertainment industry from April 2008. This sparked some lively discussions and a great deal of interest. For more information about the law in relation to hearing, go to our info page.
