Free pack to stop confusion over Noise at Work law

RNID has produced a guide on the new Noise at Work regulations, designed to help bar owners, club promoters and pub landlords protect their staff's hearing.

The new "Noise at Work explained" pack will guide businesses through the legislation and help to explain the complex issue of noise exposure and hearing loss. The pack also includes free earplugs, staff posters, and other promotional freebies.

"The pack will help employers to make the regulations workable, protecting workers' hearing, keeping punters happy, and avoiding the hearing loss time bomb threatening the UK economy."

Agnes Hoctor, Senior Campaigns Officer at RNID, said: "We don't want employers to panic. The point of this law is to prevent hearing loss, not to persecute clubs and bars. The pack will help employers to make the regulations workable, protecting workers' hearing, keeping punters happy, and avoiding the hearing loss time bomb threatening the UK economy."
